BCRT 1042

Balsall Common Round Table is a member of Round Table of Britain & Ireland, a movement founded in the UK more than 80 years ago.  The Club is now an international movement with thousands of members around the world.

Round Table is dedicated to men between the age of 18 and 45.  Fun, friendship and trying something new and exciting, is what it’s all about. From sports to arts and nights out at restaurants to family social events, Balsall Common Round Table prides itself on giving its members the chance to embrace life to the full. Think of it as getting the opportunity to do things that you couldn’t do on your own and help out good causes at the same time.

We are built around core Values which can be summarised as providing a forum to meet new people, offer a service to the community and good causes, developing international relationships and doing all of this by meeting and having fun.

Our sister organisation is Ladies Circle and has similar values to Round Table.

Fireworks Go With a Bang!

Balsall Common Round Table’s Family Bonfire Extravaganza went with a bang – with the money raised at the event rocketing through the organisation’s initial fundraising target.

More than 500 people turned out for the Guy Fawkes night celebration at the Sports Association Ground in Meeting House Lane raising over £2,500 for The Island Project, Balsall Common’s school for autistic children – more than double the initial target of £1,000.

Event organiser Alex Nurse, said: “This is the first time Balsall Common Round Table has staged such a large fundraising event and we are absolutely delighted with total achieved.  We would like to thank all the volunteers and helpers as well as the local community and businesses for their kind donations and support.”

A highlight of the evening was the Schools ‘Guy’ competition, which was won by a pupil from Balsall Common Primary, who received a £50 cash prize for his school.
